Pretty fucking dumb article.

Cuz I don’t have enough anxiety seeing the doctor let’s add the fear that the only GP in miles may tell me to fuck off

When Obamacare first went into effect, Republicans cried crocodile tears that "the government wouldn't let you keep your doctor." Turned out it was the health insurance companies who wouldn't let you keep your doctor. They reduced their networks until they consisted of one doctor: the cheapest one in the area with almost inevitably the worst records.
But go on, tell me how our privatized healthcare system offers better consumer choice and better medical outcomes again.

Yes, calling it a disorder is ridiculous. But for me, my body responds to stress in the most extreme way. When I'm stressed, I throw up. Since a certain stressful election, I've lost a fair bit of weight to the stress response. Post-Trump Stress Disorder may not be a real disorder, but people like me are actually negatively impacted by the psychological effects of a fear mongering president who seems to enjoy threatening countries on Twitter and making fun of anyone who disagrees with him and calling whoever he doesn't like fake news. So the article seems ridiculous, and it is, but an explanation of what the heck happened that eventful Thursday is nice, and having a name for what my brain is doing that I can use jokingly is also nice.

Remember, it's perfectly OK to let someone die just because you think they're icky.
Seriously, this constant insistence that personal morals are more important than professional ethics is just really fucking disgusting.

Libertarianism. "Got Mine, Fuck You All." The sort of attitude that ends up letting the zombie horde in past the barricades.

The truly idiotic part of the "Got Mine, Fuck You All" is that I know a metric ass ton of conservative minded libertarian types who do not realize that no, they do not get theirs. They got fucked too before the ACA was in place. I know people who have benefited immensely from the ACA and the protections it provides, and they still think the government should get out of healthcare, even though these same damn people were bitching and moaning about the private health insurance industry before the ACA was passed. They fail to realize that they are fucked without it, yet they want to get rid of it because they think they can somehow afford non-subsidized insurance.
Then again, what do I expect when people think that Republican policies will bring about economic and wage growth, when almost all of the poorest states in the country are hardcore Republican, whether you account for it by actual wages, per capita income, median income, or even GDP. It's a fucking joke.
