I think the intricacies of the friction between our cultures is very relevant to the multiculturalism thread.

Not really when that discussion involves how the government is formulated

Okay. I’ll bite. What issue in America solely affects white people on a large scale because they’re white? Affirmative Action. That’s it. While problematic, it’s not so much to make the Democratic Party “anti-white bigots.”

I mean the topic of the thread. The mainstream media assumed the white teen is by default guilty because he dared to stare the proud Indian.

Prove it.

There is no proof of any of their claims. I think a lot of this kind of talk comes from not liking changing demographics and fear of minorities becoming the majority. Honestly who cares what someones skin color or religion is.

I mean that most religions teach that only their way is the way to salvation, or that it's the best way.
San Lumen wrote:Im religious and I don't care what other persons religion is.

Hence why I said "almost".

In Christianity, you’re pretty much required to care. One of a Christian’s duties is to spread the word and convince as many people as they can to convert, to prevent them from suffering eternally. Heck, according to Christian teachings, it’d be cruel not to care about the religious beliefs of other people.

A similar thing in Al-Islam, with the addition of people not hearing of Al-Islam in its true form still having a chance to be saved.

I'm also religious and I care a lot. It is very important, at least in Christianity.

Can we not turn this into a religious debate? Its kind of off topic.

No it's not. We're talking about religions, which are very diverse and relevant in this thread, considering it's about diveristy. Also, this isn't religious debate, it's religious discussion.

In some sects, those who haven’t heard of Christ don’t go to Hell unless they were prticularly shitty. It’s complicated.

Basically. It’s a relatively rare position in the church, though oddly enough Christians that know the way and yet turn from it are considered worse off than nonbelievers.

That's personally my line of belief.
It makes no sense to punish someone for ignorance as opposed to willful abandon.

Ehhh it’s more complicated than that. Sects that don’t share that view believe that the natural world is evidence enough to lead one to believe in a god, though why it’d be the Christian god is unclear. In addition, since they believe god cannot coexist with sin, any sin is enough to damn you if you don’t follow the way of Christ.
