True. And some of us Westerners forgot the difference between 'immigration' and 'invasion'.

Yep. The vast majority of people couldn't care less about conspiracies to "undermine Western superiority" and all that jazz. They just want to live a normal life.

Yeah, my friend's stepfather, who came over from Europe and went through the whole citizenship process, and one of my other friends who did the same thing from mexico, is immigration.

Coming across the border illegally, staying here past your visa's expiration date without getting an extension, and immigrating to a country with no intention of ever integrating into their culture and fitting into their society, those are invasions.

I agree with you that crossing the border illegally and staying past your visa's expiration date is unacceptable. What is your definition of integration and fitting into the society though?

The fact is most immigrants do integrate in the US.

Integration takes time. But its partly a white Western European fault why social cohesion is taking longer than it is because White Europeans set the standard of to invade and "how not to integrate" with their multi-cultural projects.

The White Western European establishments rubbing off in the US and Australia have produced a multi-cultural platform where integration was never an intention until the problems that had arisen generations later when you have segregated communities and different languages.

The Chinese and the Africans brought to the US were not supposed to integrate according to white Europeans, they were supposed to live separately but this caused issues.

Nations should've had a policy of interculturalism from the start, there's no point being critical of immigrants who don't integrate. Look at the East End of London, if you have communities living together, there's no incentive to integrate if your doctors speaks Bengali, your neighbor speaks Bengali etc.

Governments need to be more pro-active in encouraging integration rather than the neoliberal status quo of "leave to do".

Silly assertion.

Managed migration with integration is the answer.

There no silver bullet to immigration problems but simply scapegoating immigrants and saying they won't integrate is counterproductive.

There should be grown up conversations how governments manage immigration and social cohesion.

I dont think its silly assertion. You said you had an issue with large numbers of Bengalis in the East End of London. Is Flushing in Queens, New York a problem too as its overwhelmingly Asian?

Who is scapegoating immigrants and what is managed migration with integration? What do you consider integrated?

I said nothing of the sort.

I said large numbers of immigrants speaking the same language can cause problems in terms of social cohesion and integration.

I am not scapegoating those immigrants, I'm presenting the realities that do occur with mass migration.

I think both the neoliberal left and right have got it wrong. We should be able to critique aspects of mass immigration without being labelled racist but the far right should not pretend that mass immigration hasn't benefited those countries in the long term.

I dont think language matters much as long as they are able to also communicate in the dominant language of the country.

What further integration would you like to see? Many immigrants in the US, Canada and Western Europe have integrated quite well while keeping their culture and traditions.

There are immigrants that haven't integrated well, and that is my point who rely on interpreters. There should be further help for those immigrants and the respective governments needs to make some good integration policies once they enter the country or if they apply for settlement.

Im in agreement with you then. If you immigrate to another country you have an obligation to learn the language.

What integration polices would you create?

I find it amusing that a Polish immigrant to Britain is complaining about other immigrants, especially since Poles were despised by the likes of BFP and EDL as part of the zombie horde.

How is that a benefit?

One, Bengali food is trash, two they are not benefits nor detriments.

There's no such thing as "BFP" so you might want to know what you're talking about. EDL not so much (like: not at all), BNP yes.

Either way, who cares?
