That depends on your definition of free and fair. Orban has made it so there is no independence of the courts, drawn parliamentary districts so his party cannot lose their supermajority, destroyed the free press and cracked down on his opposition to the point where they are not much of viable opposition at this point.

Yes but the last election was neither free nor fair. The opposition parties are a joke as Orban has decimated them,. They have little to no support outside Budapest. The gerrymandering in the Parliament is such that it is all but impossible for his party to be voted out or lose their supermajority.
Its such a gerrymander it would make Republicans envious and wish they could get away with here.

and part of that is due to the opposition being so fractured and having no real base anymore
