Man, what is it with China and controlling the everyday lives of the proles? I mean Eastasia is just so 1948 now.
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.

”Many forms of government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe.
No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is
the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried from time to time." -
Winston Churchill, 1947.

"Rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon – so long as there is no answer to it – gives claws to the weak.” - George Orwell

I can see how a few strippers would help people get over the loss of me. Good thinking, China.

To paraphrase Chomsky, every new generation reinvents their language, using the old language as the jumping-off point to form something unique to them. Traditions aren't mechanically passed on from generation to generation, but rather are reshaped and repurposed as the circumstances change.

No generation reinvent the language. They modify it, but Shakespeare's English and ours share ontological continuity

That's just semantics. Generations modify languages, and the line between reinvention, modification, renewal, and all those fancy modernisation words, is quite blurry.

I guess it depends at what point "modifying" a language becomes reinventing it. It's hella easy to miss the slight variations that eventually emerge as completely new regional dialects or accents. I'm not talking about creating a completely new language from scratch, but about people taking their existing language into new directions and making it something notably distinct from what their grandparents spoke.
And I'd argue any of the languages English descended from share "ontological continuity" with our English, but that doesn't mean modern English and Old Frisian are the same language.

Not necessarily, their body is going to decay anyway (i.e eaten by microorganisms).

I’m not talking about decay in a casket, I’m talking full out leave them out on a rock and scavengers come and eat the corpse. Because many would see that as disrespectful where I come from.

Not hard to see the logic. They believe the bigger the crowd the better the send off so they attract more people over with a strip show.
Crimes committed by Muslims will be proof of a pan-Islamic plot and Islam's inherent evil. On the other hand, crimes committed by non-Muslims will merely be the acts of mentally ill lone wolves who do not represent their professed belief system at all.
The probability of someone secretly participating in homosexual acts is directly proportional to the frequency and loudness of their publicly professed disapproval and/or disgust for homosexuality.
If Donald Trump accuses an individual of malfeasance without evidence, it is almost a certainty either he or someone associated with him has in fact committed that very same malfeasance to a greater degree.

A few people are calling this "traditional," but it is actually? Personally I have never heard of it, then again I never do large amounts of research into what even happens in China. I have no idea what the values of Chinese people are, but something makes me doubt that the idea of getting horny while you are also thinking of a dead friend or relative was never absurd. I suppose the government is going a bit far "cracking down" on this, but I do agree: having funeral strippers just sounds like a dumb and out-of-place idea.

I suppose we might as well have car wash drill sergeants, theater-room therapists, or in a more relevant case, we could start having priests in strip clubs!

Yes, that'd be disrespectful in my area as well.

Problem with that is that Sky Burials are just that and are widely done throughout the Himilayas. But ask them if they’re disrepsectful and they’ll say no. So using our standards of disrespectful for things such as this really doesn’t make any sense.

True.

Much like how many people would think that laughing and getting drunk at a funeral is disrespectful but not to my family.
