Plenty of factors other than policies can create high crime and poverty: people who move there may be more predisposed to poverty and crime, culture could affect it, having a high population means there will be more crime, etc. You simply yelled that it was their "bad policies" without explaining what policies specifically were causing that or whether policies actually did cause those things.

They leave their home state because of the high-cost, -tax, -crime hellhole it's become, then in their new state, vote for the policies that made California what it is today. I've lived in two of them recently. Washington is totally beyond saving at this point and the one good part about living there, the lack of income tax, may be going away soon. Colorado may still be saved, but I'm not holding my breath.

While I resent being lumped in as a locust, I must say there's some truth to this. The single worst neighbor I have ever had was a San Francisco transplant. And I've met enough folks from the bay to think they weren't abnormal.

Interestingly enough, Seattle's rainclouds cover the stairway to heaven as well. They say you can see them on the rare clear day, but few have. I wonder what it is about the West Coast that makes it the center of all extramortal dealings.

That sample size is still way too small for a city as big as San Francisco. You could maybe use that for a metric regarding the behaviors of people from some rural town with a population of 200 in Arkansas, but not SF, which has 871,000 residents.
