Favorite National Anthem?

Postby The Democratic Marxists » Sun Feb 11, 2018 9:05 am

Every nation has a song that they can belt out with a flood of patriotism, and they can feel good about it. Whether its “The Star Spangled Banner,” or “God Save the Queen,” every country has an anthem that pays tribute to a part of their nation. The song is often beautiful, touching, and yet strong.

Which brings us to the question: which one is the best? Or, at least, which is your favorite? I personally love India’s Jana Gana Mana because it written in a type of language that all people in India can understand, even if there are over 800 languages in the country alone. It also beautifully describes all of India’s regions.

Which ones your favorite?

I think that Nepal's "Made of Hundreds of Flowers" is painfully underrated.

Personally, I love Vatican's. Yes, I'm Muslim, but I just can't help but to appreciate European choirs. I also love Japan's and Russia's. To be honest, I can't really tell which one is my favourite.

The American is the only one with meaning to me, whenever I hear it i'm filled with pride and remember that, no matter how screwed up the US can get, I should still be proud to be American because is always 100% worse somewhere else.

Imo, yes. But then again, their are some Muslims who believe music is haram.
For example, while Afghanistan was taken over by the Taliban, the nation didn't have an anthem because of the "music is haram" reasoning

Yea, sadly it's easy for many people where I come from to call each other kafir. Our netizens are easily triggered.
