Are femboys gay?

Postby Pradwer » Mon Jan 29, 2018 11:11 am

Femboys are males who dress effeminately to the point of looking female.
This can include traps, but is mainly separate.

Is it gay to like femboys?

I believe that it isn't, because sexuality is based entirely on feminine and masculine characteristics. You can be attracted to a feminine looking picture of cauliflower, and that is straight. You can't be attracted to a woman with body hair, rearing biceps and legs, a mustache, and defined face. That's why I consider it straight.

This got removed before, so I'm trying again with knowing the rule.

EDIT: This is for if you like them.

Being 'femme' can mean a lot of things. Mannerisms, hair style, facial structure, makeup, etc can all allow someone to code as being 'femme' to one degree or another. It's not just crossdressing or drag.

So a straight guy can't be attracted to a girl with muscles, because that would be masculine and make them gay?

Do we really need to go over this again?
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.

The first one. Oh yeah I mistyped that.

For the second, I mean in terms of bodily contortions and clothing together. A guy being attracted to a girl with muscles doesn't mean gay. It's looking for the masculinity in them that makes them gay.

So why make a new thread?

So what, being attracted to a fit girl in a tank top is gay because muscles + male workout gear = masculine? And what does 'contortions' mean?

This seems strangely very important to you. Not that I'm judging or anything.

Anyway, sexual orientation is more complicated than both sex and gender and I am personally part of the school of thought that rejects the hetero-homo distinction overall.
I mean, it's not as if we are attracted to the entirety of a certain gender and/or sex right? Many times the features that attract us are secondary sex-characteristics for example but it's not necessarily the case (Because both we can be attracted to completely different parts of the body, such as the foot commonly, or to just elements of personality that have no shape and yet regardless hold sexual sway over us).

Also, if let's say you are attracted to the female breasts for example, you are not attracted to them all equally but clearly there are various other characteristics that make something more/less attractive.

So basically while generally speaking, if you are a man and attracted to feminine-looking men (Assuming they indeed identify as male and not female) you are still regarded as homosexual, but I personally oppose this distinction overall in favor of a more fluid and less frigid view of sexuality.

I'm confused, is the OP asking if it's gay for males to dress en femme or is the OP asking if it's gay to be attracted to a male dressed that way? The thread title seems to ask the former but the actual post asks the latter question.

I find girls with muscles oddly attractive, tbh.

I still haven't decided to roll this into the LGBTQ megathread or just lock it with prejudice.

I don't see how it would go there. This is specific, rather than the topic, and I've never seen anyone else actually debate this.

I mean, if you're male and you're attracted to another male, you're necessarily gay. That's the definition of homosexuality, attraction to your own sex.

Women with muscle are definitely attractive, nothing odd about that. Strength and health are sexy.

So according to your logic, being attracted to a feminine cartoon character, means you are attracted to animations, not females?
