And what makes the average felon different from you? Why should they be denied the right to vote after serving their time in prison.
The mayor of Bridgeport, Connecticut is a ex-felon. He went to prison for several years for corruption charges during his previous stint as mayor. He was elected to another term in 2015 in a free and fair election. Should he not be allowed to serve because of his criminal past?

Thats not a answer. Not all felons are irresponsible. Plenty of them have made something of themselves after prison.

So if someone who as an ex-felon was elected mayor of your town in to the State legislature from your district would you want them removed from office or kicked off the ballot before the election?
