Also, sometimes there isn't any toilet paper... that's the only time, I think.

Beyond that, it can't be worse than "flushable" wipes, I'm presuming, since it's mostly paper and pretty much dissolves in water like toilet paper does.

To me it's a low-level sign of the breakdown of effective community policing, poor surveillance and the degradation of social space, all of which tell me an area is not very cared for and is likely to have a criminal element. Time to go somewhere else!

I think a part of why my perspective of graffiti is formed the way it is is from what I've seen of the graffiti itself...?

Especially given that due to how little there is of it near me, I almost see it as kind of a rarity. (Which I imagine you'd just be delighted over, if the rent isn't an issue)

Could also be because there's not that much for the youth there to do? Also depends on how much the space is used to begin with; I'd be more concerned if the graffiti appeared in a public square than I would if it appeared in an alleyway or under a bridge.

Neighbouring clubs might be lower in the football pyramid but they lack the whiff of "big club" delusion and comedy-level mismanagement stretching back decades. Less Newcastle, more old rotten wooden fort, permanently on fire.

idk, back when I followed footie more avidly they were always one of the teams I instinctively disliked - not a "neutral's favourite".

Thanks for the suggestion. I did indeed have a wee whisky after dinner, however I also chilled my room down to around 10 degrees, flipped the mattress and had new sheets which seemed to do the trick!
