Same.

Fun fact: Soviet tanks were commonly decorated with white stars during the Second World War, because of better visibility against a green background.

What use is fighting for democracy if I can’t have Yankee Doodle Dandy blaring from speakers on a Patton?

The West won the world not by the superiority of its ideas or values or religion … but rather by its superiority in applying organized violence. Westerners often forget this fact; non-Westerners never do.

The most fundamental problem of politics is not the control of wickedness but the limitation of righteousness.

Last week, a woman I used to go to church with died from the flu. She was only 43 and left behind two children.

Then, the next day, my dad accidentally shoots himself in the leg and I’m scared that he’s gonna lose that leg. It’s all bruised up and swollen and it just looks bad.

Then today my mom has to break the news to me that another woman who I went to church with was killed in a head on collision at the age of 38, and her 10 year old is in critical condition and she might not make it either.

That's a lot of tragedy, I can see why you'd be upset with the year. Bruising and swelling are the body's reaction to the injury, not necessarily an indication of impending loss of the limb. I assume your dad's been to the doctor about his leg, why not ask what the medics say and put your mind at ease?
