Hmm Depends on where you are in Maryland, I would not call Rockville Pike all that beautiful. We do have our nice parks and the such though.

And your main roads are confusing

What? This doesn't make sense.

Simple cause an effect.

I work I worked at a school by where she was incarsersted, I did morning and afternoon crossing guard, a van associated with a news organization (some fox local stations for mid west Kansas I think) almost ran a red light while I was doing my cross walk stuff in an attempt to get a report out by the base, probably in the strip mall parking lot, more accurately the one that services the 7-eleven.

I'm not trying to be mean, but please proofread your posts. You're leaving words out that literally make it hard work to understand what you mean, as in your first post.

Secondly, hating her because you almost got hit by a reporter doesn't make sense either. Hating the news station that van came from would make more sense.

The Eastern Shore is lovely. And Baltimore, if you know where to avoid.

You've clearly never seen someone used to subways and bus routes navigate by car

The politest thing I can say about Chelsea Manning is that they are clearly a very disturbed individual who should be in jail, or alternatively in psychiatric care.

I was going to finish by saying "they should not be in the US Senate" but knowing what I do about American politics over the last 30 years, sadly I think this treacherous individual would fit right in there.

>Muh fat fingers.

Nah I think I just typed it too fast, usually it's not that awful. Thanks for the heads ups.

Also I continue to sarcastically insist it was mannings fault because it's funnier that way.

I am someone used to subways and bus routes, and I navigate by car quite well. GPS works wonders, as do maps.

I also spend 1-2 weekends a month driving to and from MD to visit friends and family, so...?

Heh, no I'm not Inhuman. Just well-traveled. Were I an Inhuman I could ask Lockjaw to teleport me back and forth -- but then I wouldn't get to decompress on the four and a half hour drive down.

Nothing like singing (badly) while ignoring your phone's ring because bah god, Drive Time is MY time. ;)

If I was a convicted traitor who was despised by nearly former acquaintances especially those in the military I think I'd try to fade into the background, not, yknow, loudly declare moronic nonsense on twitter and run for public office in a state with some of the largest military facilities in the county.

But hey, that's just me.

Pretty sure section 3 of the 14th amendment is gonna bar her from actually running, let alone hold office.

Executive pardon.

Iirc it was a commuted sentence not a Pardon, meaning that the commution means "You definitely did it but the punishment you've taken is plenty."

Otherwise? Chelsea Manning is an infamous leaker who was the center of controversy, is transgender, and is running against an incumbent of her own party. On top of that she has no political experience that qualifies her to jump directly into one of the most influential offices in the country which will make her lose even more of what support she might have had. Her Campaign was dead before she thought of running for office.

Personally regardless of the morality of it I dont think an unpopular known leaker is what we want to be one of the faces of Gender Dysphoria- or even just as the face of her constituents in general in the Senate. Even if she would be the most skilled senator the senate has ever seen, she will still be a detriment to her cause.

I just realized, it was someone else I was thinking of who's from VA.

But yes, I'd like her to get out of here as well.

How so? One party controls all three branches, we need more balance in the govt so that there can be debate instead of one party's influential members trying their best to get stuff through while they dont have to make deals with the other side. I'd be saying the same if Democrats controlled all three and Manning was a Republican

I think this is a very bad idea given her time spent in military prison. Attack ads all over the place would be certain.
