I....honestly don't know.

The all-knowing wiki says thus:

In January 2017, a Justice Department source said that Manning was on President Obama's short list for a possible commutation.[204] On January 17, 2017, President Obama commuted all but four months of Manning's remaining sentence.[18][205] In a press conference held on January 18, Obama stated that Manning's original 35-year prison sentence was "very disproportionate relative to what other leakers have received" and that "it makes sense to commute—and not pardon—her sentence."[205][206] Notwithstanding her commutation, Manning's military appeal will continue, with her attorney saying, "We fight in her appeal to clear her name."[207]

On January 26, 2017, in her first column for The Guardian since the commutation, Manning lamented that President Obama's political opponents consistently refused to compromise, resulting in "very few permanent accomplishments" during his time in office. As The Guardian summarized it, she saw Obama's legacy as "a warning against not being bold enough."[208] In response, President Donald Trump tweeted that Manning was an "ungrateful traitor" and should "never have been released."[209]

Convicted? I'm not sure. Guilty? All of them.

I'm found a quote from her (with regards to her being denied a fellowship at Harvard University): "This is military intelligence and it is a police state in which we can no longer engage in actual political discourse in our institutions."

Here can be seen the general beef I have with leakers such as Edward Snowden and Chelsea Manning. The United States, even if you express disapproval of the particular extent of NSA surveillance, or the activities described in Manning's several leaks over the years, is nowhere near the type of dystopia that left-wing pundits (who use this kind of situation to their political advantage) describe. Frankly, I find it funny that a woman who received a pardon for her gravely serious crimes of theft and releasing classified documents is still complaining about authoritarianism.

I, and other Americans are not alone in feeling this way. She was actually denied entry to Canada (with Trudeau in office) as their government considers what she did a treason-level offense in their jurisdiction.

Leaking classified information and diplomatic cables is poor judgement and far from integrity.

Can I suggest a good quality property in Maryland to live with your new sweetie Manning?

I hear Maryland is a lovely place.

Democratic party would be crazy to run her. Too much toxicity in her background.

Also: fucking ironic there are states where convicted felons can't VOTE, and yet one can run for public office.

I still hate Manning because the day she got out I was doing crossing guard at the school down the road from the base she was at and almost got my shit kicked in my a news van.

What? This doesn't make sense.

Simple cause an effect.

I work I worked at a school by where she was incarsersted, I did morning and afternoon crossing guard, a van associated with a news organization (some fox local stations for mid west Kansas I think) almost ran a red light while I was doing my cross walk stuff in an attempt to get a report out by the base, probably in the strip mall parking lot, more accurately the one that services the 7-eleven.

Hmm Depends on where you are in Maryland, I would not call Rockville Pike all that beautiful. We do have our nice parks and the such though.
