First off, it was something that happened in 1973. According to your logic, Hillary Clinton is a homophobe for being against equal marriage rights several years ago? People change, but even so, being sued is not equal to being guility.

That said, Trump's alleged racism was never the topic before he became the president. He is an odd person at times, I'll give you that. Even MLK's nephew would disagree with calling him racist (though, he did call him "racially ignorant", still, being ignorant about something is not equal to hating people or wanting them ill).

Not supporting equal marriage is not necessarily homophobia. Some people do not support equal marriage because of their religion - that's not homophobia.

Plus it was during the DACA meeting when Dems wanted to save the visa lottery for Haitians, Nicaraguans and Africans that he ranted about those countries being shitholes. Very much doubt white majority countries are in the lottery.

Yes, clearly he thinks that Haiti is a shithole because black people live there, not because it took them until 2005 to take rape seriously and because they have a whopping average GDP of $733.

A president's party almost inevitably loses seats in midterms. The usual question is how much. Presidents with 50%+ approval suffer negligible losses. Below 50%, and losses become significant. I don't even know what Trump is at right now, but I know it isn't 50%.

His average approval is in the high 30s. Yea, the Republicans are in hot water.

Well, people from white or Asian (non-Middle Eastern) countries.

Only disagreeing in the "Traditional" sense. Other definitions pretty much include ignorance.

Are you making excuses for Trump? Why do you assume there is logic in his reasoning?

You seriously believe Trump would condemn Haiti on its legal status of rape with a straight face?

There certainly seems to be a great deal of reasons to think that Haiti is a shithole.

It can certainly change, but I have little faith that it will. Even if it does, it is unlikely that it will increase high enough to avoid severe losses...
So yeah, at the moment, the GOP is in hot water in that regard.

The US didn't make rape fully illegal until 1993. Is the US a shithole?

If Haiti is a shithole not worth giving a damn about then Trump would have no reason to backpedal on calling it such.

No, but my point is, Haiti is a shithole for obvious socioeconomic reasons, and Trump's point (correct or not) was about the socioeconomic conditions of the countries we are taking refugees from, not the refugees' skin color. I don't think it makes any sense to say that we should be taking refugees from more prosperous countries like Norway, because, you know..the whole point of refugees is that they aren't from prosperous countries, but he wasn't making a racist observation at all.

Because:
1: there is logic.
&
2: Being a pedantic over whether or not trump is being a jackass because he hates black people or because he hates anyone who's born in a shitter country.

I pretty much think that is the oldest form of any -phobia and myoginy.

And it's currently on the way back down after climbing slightly off the back of the Cut Cut Cut Act. Well have to wait and see how shitholegate affects things.

The U.S. is one of the world's best shitholes.

I really don't think shitholegate will hurt Trump, his base, including David Duke and neo-nazis are loving it. Most people already know he is a bigot, not really a surprise to anyone. The real teller is whether general disgust of Trump will empower people to get out and vote against him.

She has a non disclosure agreement so of course she denies it. BTW, I generally don't put much stock in any reporting from FAUX News, lol.

FAUX NEWS LMAO

A letter from her is a letter from her, regardless of who reports it, and her non-disclosure agreement requires her not to say that something happened, not to actively deny that something happened. She had no obligation to write that letter, yet she did.

The lottery is a horrible thing, stop defending it. People should not recieve things based on luck, but based on their ability and merit. What picture are you sending? "It's better to be lucky than to be a productive member of society"? Merit based immigration is the only option. Race and origin are irrelevant, merit and integrability is all that counts.

Oh, and you do know that almost all "white majority" countries have access to the diversity lottery program? It is underdeveloped countries which use it, or rather, the people who live in those and have no chance to actually immigrate via empoyment due to lacking qualifications.

Like I've said, I couldn't care less where you came from, but almost all immigration should, in a few years, be mainly focused on attracting STEM, not just in the USA, but in the entire developed world, or at least be focused only on those with a higher education or rare skills.
