Plenty of things have reported about it. Just this isn't really the thread for Trump policy.

Republicans just dont give up with their attacks on Democracy. Now Senator Pat Toomey is getting behind talk of impeaching the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justices who drew the map calling it a power grab and attack on democracy
https://twitter.com/RCPress_Sean/status ... 6315637761

It seems quite clear they want a government like in Hungary where the courts and media is totally under state control and elections are really just for show as the ruling party has virtually no chance of losing power.

It's probably the most likely outcome of 2018 at the moment. I don't know why Shof is making it seem lime two dozen (plus one) seats is impossibly difficult to pick up in an election with ~500 members up at once in a country where such pickups have happened before. Like, say, four years ago.

435 members, most of whom are running in safe districts, in a country that's heavily divided, which is probably giving the incumbents even more advantages than they had before.

By hogging their power... which is actually the opposite of a coup. Still, a subversion of democracy.

Then it's not a coup, which you just said it isn't. Hogging power isn't new to American politics, and it's not just Republicans who do it.

You're telling me parties play strategically to retain power? We need to alert the press! It's not a subversion of democracy. Especially at the congressional and state level, democracy is at it's best. Gerrymandering is the only real subversion of democracy.
