He's about everything I want from a Justice tbh. His support of the 4th Amendment isn't great but both sides have been gutting the 4A for at least a decade so there's not a ton you can hope for on that.

The definition of what was considered moral then is not the same now. As much as I admire John Adams he would not have considered someone whose LGBT to be equal to him. That being said to take todays standards and apply them to people of the past is not fair.

These are both true. The (Federal) government was founded as a secular one. But presuming it was over a religious people. As multiple Founding Fathers have said. And, as Adams said, it is not adequate for a nonreligious people.

Your stays as legal guardian is Federal. If you want to force all states to recognize same-sex marriage or polygamy, amend the Constitution, don't repurpose it.

If it was “made only for a moral and religion people” then they should’ve included more of that religion and morality stuff outside of the Establishment/Free Exercise Clause and the No Religious Test Clause when drafting the constitution.

You don’t need to amend the constitution for every nitpick, the 14th amendment explicitly applies all of this to the states.
