Did you go to public school? In Canada, parents generally only pay for basic school supplies (paper, pencils, pens, binders, etc.). It usually doesn't cost that much, maybe $100.00 bucks a year.

Honestly though I'm not sure I even see her running in 2020. And even if she does, I feel like it'd be so split someone else would win. It was rare enough to nominate 1 person with the unpopularity of Trump, let alone us nominating TWO in 2016. I doubt we'll follow up by nominating another unpopular person.
