I really think they depend on how they're cooked, over boiled and they taste like leftover wet socks in a cupboard.. but roasted in juices and they're delicious.

Quite possibly, although personally, I'm not the hugest fan of onions.

There are many with a distaste for onions, especially depending on how you cut one into your mixture. Someone who hates onions generally will prolly like them if I cut it in the smallest bits possible before adding them, so that way the taste remains but the texture is gone.
