Never had a particularly bad experience at Mickey D's, but I have had one at Burger King. Got one of those Whopper things and had some of the worst food poisoning I've had.

I used to work at a Blockbuster opposite a Burger King. The staff got to know us and we got to know them. We would sort them out with rentals and they wouldn't serve us the frozen patties they'd been using as hockey pucks with their mops with bored.

My family used to go there to get a movie every Friday for what we creatively named "Pizza-Movie Night".

I remember going to Blockbuster a few times when I was little. I also remember VHS tapes and rabbit ear antennas. We didn't get cable until around 2010 or so.

We had like 7 channels for about 12 years lol. DVD's were our lifeline for anything besides PBS and the Brady Bunch.

I remember watching very little live tv when I was little. It was always VHS or dvd. And popcorn. Actually not always popcorn. For us, dinner and a movie was pretty rare when I was little. We usually watched movies during the day, not in the evening.

Pfft.. where I grew up we had half a channel, from 4-8pm it was in one language and 8-12pm another, switching over every other day.

McDonalds isn't the worst thing in the world. I try to eat very healthy and avoid processed foods often, but sometimes, after a strenuous hike or swim McDonalds hits the fucking spot.

You can get healthful salads there as well. They have tried to respond to critics; apple slice and milk for kids, instead of fries and soda pop, for instance.
But everybody likes to single them out for blame. Burger King is far worse, and Long John Silver's has little food value.

They do adjust the menu a bit when they open McDonald's in different countries. Like the Chinese version does lots of chicken, but not as many burger options as in the US.

Some items are much better than others even if you are just sticking to McDonald's in the US. The burgers and chicken nuggets are gross, but they have a chicken sandwich that is decent.

Stewed tripe is actually good. Some people are grossed out by its texture, though.
Also panini with grilled tripe seasoned with hot chili pepper sauce. Yum yum.
And of course proper salami and sausage must be wrapped in pig intestines.

I was also gonna comment that not every house is connected to gas network, but then I realized that cooking gas is probably delivered in pressurized barrels, like gas grills have. And our gas stove/oven at cottage has.
