I do not pour sugar syrup on my eggs, so why would I like French toast? Does adding bread to that mix somehow make it yummy?

Yeah, syrup goes better on French toast than it does on plain eggs.

Iceland in the UK has a very good (and nice) range of frozen fish. Very useful if you lack both time and motivation but want something healthy.

Frozen clams are the worst. The thing I hate with frozen fillet is, when you cook it, you actually want to minimize the water content inside the fillet, otherwise you'll have a tough time cooking with grill or pan searing (the same applies to tofu, if you want to pan sear it or stir fry, it's nightmarish when you couldn't get out all the water). The other thing people do is rubbing it with salt, though I'm not sure how well that works. Too much water is also problematic when you're trying to batter the fillet for frying

Also, the biggest issue with frozen fish is that when they defreeze it in supermarkets then put it on display, a lot the fillets would be soaked in water and becomes mushy overtime. If you bought frozen fillets from packaged ones, be sure to use water absorbent paper towels to dry up the water, you want to avoid that mushiness since it absolutely tames the texture. My other advice is not to use too much salt when cooking the fish, and be sure not to overcook them (I saw this Gordon Ramsay video once, apparently for salmon, you should spend most of the time searing the fish skin, that way the meat itself doesn't get overcooked). Also also, frozen lobster tails are absolutely the worst, try your best to get fresh ones.

Or just buy them still frozen and defrost when you need them.

The thing with defrosting them is, in my family we don't use microwave defrost, since the heat will damage the texture, so natural defrost is preferred. And in this, often time when you defrost naturally, you might just leave it out for a couple of hours without checking, which overtimes, the fillet will be soaked in defrosted waters, and it becomes a bit mushy. So the other thing is, when you defrost, it's important to immediately dry it off soon as it defrosts. Also, don't get frozen clams, I tried those once, it was darn awful.

The only frozen seafood I will get is cooked prawns.

Fish on the other hand, I tend to find works pretty well.

Try this with any frozen white fish.

1 can of chopped tomatos
1 finely sliced onion
1 tablespoon of soy sauce
1 teaspoon of mixed herbs

Onions into a pan until just brown, add the rest and simmer for 10 minutes.

Up to 4 portions of white fish.

Poach them in the sauce in a covered pan until cooked.

Serve with new potatoes and green beans.

It's good, like really good. And super healthy.

Real maple syrup is also good for you, apart from the sugar content. And they taste different. Honey is its own thing, not a substitute for maple syrup.

It has cinnamon, milk, bread and eggs. So sugar goes extremely well with that.
