And who says the government can just name a new royal family?

“I can’t believe just how dominating Putin’s victory is going to be next year,” said one editor for a Russian newspaper we spoke to, while wearing a fetching red laser dot on his forehead.

They don't need to rig the election, and the monarchists in the country don't want Putin as Tsar, they want to have a Zemsky Sobor and crown one of the Romanovs.

Russia is likely to continue to be authoritarian regardless of who wins, and at least Putin has a dry wit about him and enjoys winding up the west by pointing out when our leaders are doing propoganda or hypocrisy.
If it's a choice between Dicky Taterson who'll spend all his time basking in his own glory and murdering journalists, or Vlad who'll spend his time shitposting and trolling the countries enemies and murdering journalists, which would you choose?
It's monarchies all the way down, friend.
Stannis of Joffrey, pick one.

In 2016, at least 9 people were killed by racist and neo-Nazi violence, 72 were injured, and 3 people received credible death threats. Our data does not include victims of incidents in the North Caucasus and Crimea, or victims of mass brawls. Compared to 2015, the number of racist and neo-Nazi attacks has dropped, although not as drastically as it did the year before. (In 2015, 12 people were killed, 96 were injured, and 8 received credible death threats[2]. In 2014, 36 people were killed, 134 were injured, and 2 received credible death threats[3].) We want to clarify that our current data for 2016 is still incomplete[4]. The numbers will inevitably rise, because many incidents only come to our attention a year or even 18 months after they happen.

@Pontous: Sorry dude, I was making fun of your post and Shof forced me to explain the joke.
