They are harmed for three reasons.

First of all such behaviors can easily result in global hatred towards the perpetrators. Nobody knows whether they are the next to be genocided so everybody is better off if they simply join forces and get rid of the unpredictable genocide perpetrators.

But surely, if might is right, it only means we need to be the strongest country in the world before we start genociding, which ensures nobody will touch us.

Unless of course you also happen to be wrong about killing people only being bad if it is not profitable.

If you mean the H3H3 stuff... yeah, they did a pretty good job of showing one of the worst things about Buzzfeed: they are generally awful at social commentary. Which kind of makes sense: they want to be woke, or at least appear woke, but if they went really woke they'd have to talk about some really serious, deep, structural stuff and they'd probably end up going FULL COMMUNISM, and we can't have that happen to a corporate and liberal outlet. So they're stuck talking about the most shallow and insignificant "social issues" imaginable (like "manspreading").

That's not a moral view. Instead it is a pragmatic one. The main problem with omnicides is that nobody knows when it will end. Eventually it may bite the perpetrators themselves.
