Police to Black Suburban Residents: Your Not Welcome

The article is mainly about the city of Troy, which is technically a suburb of Albany the capital of New York State. The city is a reflection of a growing trend where people of color are moving to smaller cities or suburban areas and changing the demographics. Yet the police forces in those communities don't treat them well nor do people in the community.

They treat them differently and the residents act like they are bringing crime and lowering their property values among other things. The police forces also don't reflect the changing demographics and the departments seem hostile to allowing non whites into their club. To be clear I am not saying that someone should get a job because of their race.

I think this is white protectionism and its highly disturbing and unacceptable. There is no link between race and crime and people shouldn't feel unwelcome where they reside.
The United States is a diverse multicultural country. People should be allowed to reside wherever they want and not feel like their town or city is unwelcoming or hostile to them because of their race.

Alright, so I read the article and looked for similar articles and basically found this.

One; BuzzFeed is the only news outlet that reports on Troy/Albany NY's suburban racism. Google searches with keywords related to the BuzzFeed article only bring up the BuzzFeed article. The title is also misleading: the people interviewed explained that they felt like some cops were discriminatory in their town. This may very well be the case, but that is unfortunately commonplace in a lot of places in the country. But the title of the OP makes it sound like some Levittown shit (they never allowed black people to lease until the Civil Rights Act, same with much of suburbia in the 50s and 60s.)
