Guns are cool, but if civilians have too many guns, the government has less control over them. As Lenin said: “One man with a gun can control 100 without one.”

Because we live in the real world, where we have things called logistics.

And it’s kinda stupid to imprison objects.

If that is the intended purpose, then it fails miserably. The supposed "connection" is spurious to the extreme.

First, off, it's a meme, just like the last few posts related to Slavic artillery that I made. Wasn't meant to be a reasonable argument.

Secondly, you make firearms illegal, not everyone is going to turn them in resulting in pretty much a Second Civil War with firearm owners facing off against cops and soldiers.

Civil War, the death of hundreds of thousands if not millions, the sheer logistical impossibility, the inevitable sundering of the United States into several fragmented new nations and the resulting outbreak of warfare across the globe that would result?

Good sir, if you can track down and successfully confiscate every single one of the 600+ million guns in the US, that will legitimately be impressive if tyrannical.

It’s going to be worse then that. If it got to that point the government never probably doesn’t give much a shit about the Constitution any more, hell, a popular uprising may even be possible.

I’m running out of polite words here.

All I can say is that your scenario of a peaceful world if only we got rid of all the private guns is nothing but a fantasy world, and one that doesn’t even have good world building at that.
