If it were up to me, I would put net-neutrality into a Constitutional amendment and declare it a human right.

Twice in my lifetime a candidate lost the election with a majority of the votes, every election candidates enjoy irrational party based loyalty regardless of what they've done, every goddamned day the executive exercises far more power than the constitution should allow. Being pissed is useless, it's a firecracker that goes off makes a bunch of noise and ends. We need a rational and insistent engine of displeasure that's going to keep pushing regardless of who is in power so that the enext time this shit happens we're looking at in context.

That sort of behavior is only going to make the divide in the US even worse. Though it would be funny if this bill is passed and all of Trumps tweets are censored by companies that are against him.

What bill?

Sorry I meant the wrong thing. I meant to say the repeal. I don't know why I said bill.

It's very bad. Net neutrality must be protected. And while Trump and Pai will probably used it for banning things like pornography, given that providers can now manipulate the traffic, I think they will filter out any political views that are against their views. Plus, Google manipulated it's search engine too, so it will become worse if the bill passed

So you're saying that because Trump is evil, you want him to have regulatory controls over the Internet?

So then you would want Net Neutrality to be repealed, so Trump's government loses regulatory, control, wouldn't you?

Net Neutrality in the United States is the FCC, a government agency, regulating the internet under Title II, which gives the government a great deal of regulatory power, rather than under Title I as previously, which allowed minimal power to the government.

The repeal of Net Neutrality is the rollback of federal regulatory authority on the internet. The repeal is what provides greater internet freedom.

It gives ISPs greater freedom. It probably will result in the user having less freedom.

The world is complicated.

Regulatory control helps keep the internet fair by telling what the ISPs can and can't do. A repeal would provide less freedom because ISPs can do whatever they want.
In solidarity with Ukraine, I will be censoring the letters Z and V from my signature. Some prominent Ukrainian players that got big transfers elsewhere include Oleksander -inchenko, Illya -abarnyi, and Mykhailo Mudryk.

I don't understand the rationale between less regulations = more internet freedom. It's like saying having less sweets in your diet = an unhealthier diet.

That's not really a good comparison. Regulations can be good or bad. In this case they were good (relative to the status quo), but not all regulations are good.
