If you don’t care so much for religion anymore, then stop comparing the internet to a religion. Honestly, it almost seems as though you’re not sure what you believe. You say you don’t care about religion, but then you use religious language to justify your internet addiction? If your life is so incredibly unstable that the internet has really become your religion, then why are you on here instead of trying to maybe live a healthier life?

It is not about my fucking Internet addiction! It is about democracy and how having a tired internet harms democracy. It harms free speech and freedom of expression

The whole process of repealing net neutrality was undemocratic considering how much contempt for public opinion Ajit Pai and his cronies have shown since taking office. The worse part about it is that he could get away with it when the lawsuits come because the FCC gets a lot of deference.

Yes it is, and the rest of your post is redundant and irrelevant. People who have a normal attitude toward the internet don’t describe it as a “religion”. It is a source of information, it is not a being to be worshipped or defiled. The only reason you’re so obsessed with this issue is because you have a clear internet addiction. Nothing else about what you’ve said matters.

Having to pay extra to get Netflix isn't going to harm democracy.

The whole process of repealing net neutrality was undemocratic

No it wasn't. The laws that created the FCC were passed by a democratically elected legislature and signed by a democratically-ish elected president. FCC officials have been appointed in accordance with those laws.

This is how representative democracy works. No amount of outrage on your part, or anyone else's, changed that.

FCC moves internet to Title II by a vote = democratic. FCC rescinds directive and moves internet back to Title I by a vote = undemocratic?
How do you figure that?

The government has decided that it doesn't need Title II to cover ISPs, Bam, government's regulatory needs have changed. so the FCC's policy changes. It's almost like elections have consequences or something...

Which could, in fact, be good for democracy, as it will motivate some people to take a hard look at the government and how it works. You could see greater political engagement by potential voters as they come to appreciate all the different ways that the government affects their day-to-day, and look for ways to influence it.

Or we could end up with a generation of people overreacting a la Flutterlands. But probably not that. Right?
