You are acting very disingenuous claiming that the internet is not as much part of everyday life as electricity and running water.

This is far more fucking dangerous than you claim it to be. It puts information in the hands of a few corporate thugs who will soon get to manipulate it for their own gain.

Because there were fucking rules preventing that befote 2015. There were rules since 2004. However the Courts in 2014 struck them down and told the FCC to reclassify ISPs under Title II to implement net neutrality properly.
