[Grungerock]

It is a color-negative of the U. S. flag.
I substituted a katana crossed with an M-16* for the 50-star field. This symbolizes my belief in the so-called right to bear arms because swords and firearms, like pretty much any weapon, are legal in Grungerock.
I have had the design idea for a good 10 years before I discovered NS.

[Koldheartland]

A rather simple design, I used the flag of North Korea as a model. The changes made were substituting red for blue, black for red, and a lightning bolt for the star. It is the standard of Koldheartland's "Storm Soldiers" party.

It is the only legal party as well.

ICly the flag of Brutland and Norden in the combined Nordic cross flags of Brutland (yellow-on-blue) and Norden (white-on-yellow).

OOCly, since B&N was meant to have some Scandinavian character, so the flag looks like a recolor of the flag of Norway or Iceland.

The aelosian flag is the coat-of-arms of the Doriath Kingdom and the House of Elwë. It is the symbol of Thingol Singollo, first King of the Sindar Elves. (Tolkien paraphernalia). In my avatar, I photoshopped over the symbol the image of the current Queen, and most used roleplaying character.

My flag is divided up into the different regions for various IC reasons, with the letters of ESF obviously referring the shorthand notation used for my nations' name, and the Japanese characters are "Strength and Honor" (if I remember right) which was the national motto for sometime.

Ours is a dragon, surrounded by darkness, and darkness within, but protected by a blue barrier.
This is the Empire of Esternial. We have our Law Enforcement (which we are so proud of) to protect us from criminals (black within). But with our 'anti-young criminal program' we also have more military forces to protect ous from outside (a greater treath, so more black)

Mine is a mix of a Belgian flag (vertical black-yellow-red bands), a European flag (circle of stars), and a Sami flag (proportions of the bands). The yellow accidentally turned out to be rather orange/gold, but it didn't look too bad so I left it that way.

I used to have a few ambassador-puppets in other regions, which had a slight variation on the theme: Same colors but different design, or same design but different colors, or I changed the circle of stars by a single star...

My country's flag is obviously a big-assed communist star on a field of red. Why? Because we like that way. The trick is to say that you're socialist but be communist. This saves lots of time and trouble.

I took the Welsh Nationalist flag and put the red in the centre in to represent how I feel that the Welsh and English are better when we work together (without favouring one side as it does now.)

It also represents how the people of my country are proud of their heritage and will protect it with their lives. It also looks pretty cool.

Our flag represents the values of our free and enlightened commonwealth.
It was designed when we gained our independence from the corrupt empire of Great Maern

Blue represents compassion.
Gold represents wisdom.
Black represents the human rights.

The dragon represents Pratha, the avatar of wisdom in the legends of the Maernii tribe.


[OOC - a reworking of the geometry of the Great Maern flag to a Nordic Cross. It would probably be more thematically appropriate to switch the two designs, but this one just looks cool, and I wanted to use it for the Utopian nation rather than the dystopian one]

[Rejistania]

The Rejistanian flag has the colors Orange, whilte and blue which represent Xkeja, likhat, korona; Tolerance, freedom and prosperity. The scales represent justice, the four quadrants represent the unity out of the separation.

The colors in my signature refer to the old flag of the asene.

[North Wiedna]

Well... North Wiedna's flag is based loosely off the ensign on the sides of British planes in WWII. I added a star so it looked kinda commie, changed the colors a bit, changed proportions.
South Wienda has a blue flag with a white crescent moon and a white line about 2/3 - 3/4 of the way through. The crescent represents the moon that was seen over the country at it's foundation. Now, it represents freedom. The bar is a common adornment on Wiendan flags, meaning prosperity. It's blue for loyalty to the government.
Finally, Southwest Wienda has a white flag, black canton. Canton has a red circle in it. A black flag with red circle in it means "Capitolism," reflecting the uber-capitolist state of the union. Also, about 2/3 - 3/4 of the way through, the white is interuppted by a red stripe, a white stripe, and a black stripe. These are the three colors of the nation, a nationalist priciple, and again represent freedom.
