I think your way is smarter. My planning hasn't lead to anything good (although that's probably more on me than a flaw with the concept of planning).

I prefer the apocalypse scenario that's like a Mad Maxxy kind of thing (or whatever happened in "Into The Badlands", because then my farcical survivalist lifestyle is easier to pretend as reasonable.

NASA isn't reliable for foreseeing the apocalypse. Their reports are all about "economic disparity" and "environmental damage" and "global political instability".

That's what you get when you have a bunch of scientists doing math. They think the end of the world will occur because of things that happen on our world.

They probably haven't even looked for Nibiru or the Anunaki spacecraft or Azathoth.

Which is why the Jehovah's Witnesses are such a depressing sect to belong to. Fear for the end of the world is basically the only reason to belong to that congregation of joyless buzzkills, but our silly planet just keeps on turning.
