The campaign itself, is pretty much an attempt to intimidate opponents, just like cyberbullying.

Seeing a leaflet saying that it's okay to be white is scarier than a dozen dancing skeletons and white-sheet ghosts dancing through your kitchen to Justin Bieber records played backwards in G Major.

What is "scary" -- OK, I can't really take this too seriously -- is not so much the explicit phrase as it is the implied meaning. No one (I trust) will object to being an expert on skin care; everyone (I trust) will object to acting like it's a standard to bash others over.

It's OK to be whatever color you want your skin to be (yes, Rachel Dolezal, I don't like you or hate you, I just don't really care). At the same time, it needs to be noted that the leading figures in this campaign are bigots -- to put it simply, they extol the supposed virtues of their skin color while denigrating those of every other.

I've yet to see an actual leading figure behind anything /pol/ does. Someone just makes a suggestion, makes a reasonable prognosis on how people might react based on the witnessed low points of journalism of the past year (two scoops of ice cream!!) and, when it sounds plausible enough, people who just want to see the fireworks tag along with the suggestion.

Unless of course I've missed the day on which /pol/ appointed a Shitpost-Reichsführer.

Why are you calling a complete innocuous news-report as very extreme?
It just said that a post about it lead to death threats and quoted some people. Hardly extreme at all.

That's what I find to be insane. I could understand it if they'd led the report with the death threats, and then made a connection to the poster campaign; but they highlighted the statement as racist first of all, making the actual disturbing part (You know, the death and rape threats that are alleged?) secondary at best.

Yes, we're quite aware that you feel threatened by literally anything, including a statement that has only as much of a deep meaning as you're willing to give it.

The video doesn't say whether or not it's racist. The screen puts a question mark on it because some people thinks it's racist. The positioning = Highlight(They could like to tell things in chronological order as a lead off) and the meaning of the term linked are all stuff you read into it. No matter who the hell the news stations is the video in itself doesn't imply.

The million dollar question is what makes your context better to disrupt the "text"(Forgive for post-mo phrasing but one of the others defender invoked all but in name the Death of the author so...) than the others?
