Yeah, there's a reason she came to regret that bit.

I remember my grandma would hit me for putting my elbow on the table and using my left hand to eat.

Skinny jeans on women are fine. It's just men who were them who need to be quarantined from the general population. The Parkus Empire wrote:Use some that the priest keeps in reserve.
... the pastor doesn't keep a 'reserve'. It's not Nazi gold.

The Parkus Empire wrote:Evola was an ultra modernist (hence his love of Nietzsche).
The Parkus Empire wrote:Evola developed the doctrine of "magical idealism", which held that "the Ego must understand that everything that seems to have a reality independent of it is nothing but an illusion, caused by its own deficiency."[31] For Evola, this ever-increasing unity with the "absolute individual" was consistent with unconstrained liberty, and therefore unconditional power.[10] In his 1925 work Essays on Magical Idealism, Evola declared that "God does not exist. The Ego must create him by making itself divine."[31]

Finishing it all himself...?
And what if you don't know that you're going to miss communion? Get caught in traffic? A minor accident? Miss the alarm? What, do you call the pastor's cell in the middle of service and hope he forgot to turn it off?

The Parkus Empire wrote:"Cheap decadence" (skinny jeans and yoga pants, for example). A startling development and altogether new. Modernity held the seductive promise that we would all get a piece of the aristocratic pie, but at all we got is the aristocratic decadence. If we all got a proper slice of the pie, everyone would read and write Latin and Greek.
Internet culture is less dangerous than pop culture. Internet culture is a rootless culture mainly confined to the internet, whereas pop culture seeps out everywhere and erodes organic culture. Not that internet culture doesn't sometimes borrow from pop culture, and vice versa, but, for example, I'm not too worried about Max Stirner becoming a part of pop culture even though he's very much a part of internet culture.

Our services are pretty long and communion is at the very end, I don't think getting caught in traffic is going to prevent you from making communion unless are already planning to skip a good portion of the service (which, admittedly, is not uncommon among Orthodox with a short attention span).

The new world of respectable circles has left those old money families behind. =^)
You are the new global poor, TEM.
