I am sure he has, since that is the only ground for calling Schopenhauer's statement ridiculous.

Austro-Prussian invasion when?
O'er the hills and o'er the main.
Through Flanders, Portugal and Spain.
King George commands and we obey.
Over the hills and far away.

Not really a fan of war, fam. Although I can certainly understand intervening when dangerous internationalists are taking over next door.

Of course. People take my distaste for modern liberalism to mean I dislike liberalism in general, however, I'm fond of alot of the Enlightenment ideas and classical liberalism. Both are very key to just societal structure, imho.

He shared some ideas of the Enlightenment, but liked to make known he was against the rationalism and social norms of the time. If it wasn't anti-Enlightenment, then it was at least a challenge to modernity he has.

I'd agree with the latter, I think he should be considered a philosopher of the Enlightenment tradition...but he seemed to have a slight taste for metaphysics. That's one of the reasons I like him.

Rousseau...A man who promoted mob rule and tried to undermine the traditional Christian morality of Western society? Sorry, but I do not see what good came from his ideas.
