Perhaps it had something to do with the project Veritas attempt to discredit the Washington Post through a fake accusation ?
People now know that some accusations are fake.. so perhaps they believe all are ?

Liking Teenage girls is a mental disorder and Mr. Moore appears to be working on that with no allegations in decades. Being a Democrat however is a choice and hence far more morally culpable.
