Some Alabamians are going to vote for him no matter what, or who,he does. I, however, am voting for Doug Jones.

Not necessarily. But Telconi has been offering half-answers this whole thread, and gun rights are his particular bugaboo. I want to see how far that logic extends.
If Doug Jones is a murder by being pro-choice then logically being pro-gun liberalisation is being a murderer too.

...How can someone in the same breath of considering him awful for that also say that there is nothing wrong with voting for him? Jesus Christ, it's like we went back to the early 1900's or 18000's.

The family values and religious morals and other such things conservatives claim to cherish are really only props for wailing about Godless Democrats, Corrian, never something that should be allowed to get in the way of helping Republicans grasp every shred of poerr they can.
Sure, Roy Moore may be a child molester, but he never had an abortion, and he molested girls so we know he's a good Christian heterosexual. As long as he doesn't violate those two cardinal sins, anything he chooses to do in his spare time with underage girls is his business, and meanwhile he is needed to hold the line against godless Democrats who don't understand morality and personal responsibility like Republicans do!

Initial polling quickly flipped to Jones, but they're coming back to Moore just like Trump supporters did to Trump after various things.
Still, this may be way more narrow than it should be for a Democrat vs Republican race in ALABAMA.

As if the local yokels will tell fake news pollsters how they'll really vote in Bammy. Come on, man! These polls are almost meaningless.

Well? I guess in Alabama sexual assault of a teenager is ok as long as you are not a democrat and are against abortion.
It boggles my mind. I mean, can't pretend I ever had a particularly high opinion of conservatives and the way their much touted claim to be the people of morality and family values gets remarkably grey for political purposes.
But openly supporting a child molester kind of shocks even me, like half of them not even disputing the claims just going, "okay, he probably did molest some teenage girls, and that's terrible...but it doesn't matter because he's a Republican and we need every vote we can get in the Senate! Jesus forgives!(as long as you're a conservative)"

Which is very likely to favor Moore. People don't want to say they'll vote for a child molester, but in the end might because they're not a Democrat.
