Yeah, we're not all academics. I can understand academic terminology in the fields that I am studying, which unfortunately do not include Arabic transliteration and Islam. I doubt anyone else here has academic experience in those subjects either, so if you'd talk on a normal (i.e. non-academic) level to us, that'd be great.

The bourgeoisie will always regard opposition to capital as communist, and to some extent they are right, for communism arises from worker self activity in their own interests, which is ipso facto anti capitalist. Explicit communism is just the most clear, self conscious form of it.

The "standard academic fashion" is in romanized Arabic, with all diacritical marks maintained, instead of just outright using Arabic text, or translating it into English? Or just cutting off the diacritics? Color me skeptical.

"Here, go read this few hundred paged tome swimming in obtuse and dry language instead of bothering me" If you cannot present the ideas concisely and quickly, then things will get nowhere. His mass popularity came after his death, largely due to the work of his apostles, with Paul in particular having played a huge role in introducing Christianity to the Graeco-Roman world. Incidentally, this was also due to laxing standards and dumbing down the initial message.
