They went to church asking for a miracle that miracle was that America would pass commonsense gun legislation, all they got was bullets and prayers. That's America for you.

Really? I'm fairly certain their pastor had planned a sermon on something different that day, this from a friend who attends that church from time to time.

But gosh Keshiland if you're certain that they were praying for gun control that is a tragic irony.

Unless of course, you're just bullshitting in order to try and score moral points on the backs of 26 dead Americans. But that's crazy talk.

Like if a civil rights activist gets murdered by a black man? Does that suddenly invalidate his desire for civil rights?

I didn't snark at it. I simply stated a probable fact. You brought up irony not me! I just changed the narrative. Its always "now is not the time" well when the hell is it!? You're mad at me for this comment yet I bet you don't want a damn thing done to prevent another one. Its always "not the time" until it affects someone personally.

Not the same. Saying gun control is not an issue until the carnage happens on your doorstep does kind of lesson the matter does it not? Why not an outcry when it happens to others?

You define gun control as repealing the 2nd Amendment. So never to answer your first question, never to answer your second question, and to answer your third question I will never vote in favor of a law condemned by the ACLU as useless, unjust, and discriminatory because I refuse to back useless, unjust, and discriminatory policies. Go fearmonger somewhere else.

I've got a question for you, when was the last time you did some actual research on the effects of gun control, hm? When was the last time you bothered to read any of the half a dozen peer reviewed articles I've linked you on the topic?

You are acting like saying prayers for victims and their families is better than changing laws. If anyone makes it political its the Republicans who accuse every gun control law as using shootings as political gain
