So stupid, in fact, that I really wamt to see it on full display juat to watch the train wreck in the courts.

Trump Pavilion for Nursing and Rehabilitation was built in 1975 and named after Mary Trump, mother of businessman/investor Donald Trump. Originally a 204-bed facility, Trump Pavilion has built its reputation, from the very beginning, as one of the finest nursing and rehabilitation centers in Queens

Just the one facility built in 1975 you say? I wonder if Donald built, bought... or inherited it? I also wonder if any of his relatives ended up there.

The legal justification, iirc, is slightly more complicated than that. Primarily that corporations are sued as individuals/people, I think. So, in Citizens United, SCOTUS said that since they can be sued like people, they get protected like people.

I don't disagree with the SCOTUS, but I think my logic makes more sense.

..And can't states and government bodies be sued?

The CDC is a government agency tasked with doung CDC stuff. A corporation is privately owned and only exists to do what it's owner wants to do with it.

That's it. The CDC can't be run by people. People have first amendment rights. CDC employees may be alien life forms studying us, but they are not peeeeeooople.
