Poll could really use some work. Hispanic and "Latinx" are linguistic classifications and not races, and neither is "Asian ("Middle East")", the middle east is ethnically diverse and includes arabs, kurds, whites, and native middle easterners (Mizrahi Jews, Assyrians, etc.), none of who refer to themselves as Asians. South Asians (Pakistanis/Indians/Bangladeshis) are absent from the poll, as are Turks, Arabs, Filipinos, and several less populous races (IE: Aboriginal Australians, Native Siberians).

Personally, I am a member of the bronze race.

I'm abomination mixed with casucian descent and African descent through the horror of this disease I have is that I'm mostly white cultured, not much into the black culture still despite the obvious fact that my skin is light brown color.Oh, the horror, the agony! Cultural appropriation!

I mean technically it shouldn't be racist to be proud of being white (despite what many people may try to say), as long as you are not proud that you're not other races, if that makes any sense at all.

I'm very pale and both my parents are too. What I know of my ancestry is German, Scottish and English (my family name was by marriage, ie a step-grandfather, so it's not relevant) so there's no reason to consider myself anything but White.

However I don't know my ancestry very well, and oral history in my family has probably suppressed the ancestors from non-European backgrounds. Not that my parents are racist that way, but they never researched ancestry carefully themselves so they're taking the word of their own parents who were pretty racist as everyone was. It's quite possible I'm actually "Mixed White" but because I don't really know I won't vote in the poll.

I'm also not reading the thread. I'd rather form my impressions of other posters from what they say and how they behave on the forum, and if it was possible to read them without forming an opinion on their age, nationality or gender that would be good too.

I don't know that. I know I LOOK white, and if that's all there is to it then OK I'm white.

I'm not even sure of all four grandparents. I know of only 3 of my 8 great-grandparents, and 2 of the 16 blood relatives a generation before that. Even with an ancestry search telling me who was married to whom, I still couldn't rule out infidelity on the part of one of my female ancestors.

Why should I profess certainty about something I know so little about?

I have white skin. In the American sense, I am white. If we want to get down to brass tacks, I am mixed British and Dutch and quite possibly have some Maori in there somewhere given my uncle on Mum's side has brown skin and brown eyes in a family of white siblings and parents.
