Yeah, when you run out of ammo you can club your assailant to death.

I have a couple friends in Las Vegas, I either hope they didn't go to the concert or that they are okay. When I get home I'm getting on discord right away to make sure they're alright.

May those that are injured survive, may those that have sadly died Rest In Peace, and may the people of Las Vegas continue on.

Remember when people wouldn't stop attacking Sadiq Khan over the "part of living in a modern city" quote in reference to a spate of terror attacks in London?

Channel 4 News had on an American gun publisher who just made the exact same argument - "it's the price of living in a free country".
Fucking dumbfounded.

My heart goes out tot hose affected, and I hope real change for the better comes from this. Enough's enough when you're not even surprised about these things anymore.

That said, what I'm interested to see is if after years of heckling Obama for never saying "Islamic terrorism" Trump is ever going to call this guy a terrorist. So far all the news channels seem to be following his example. Apparently the criteria for being a terrorist is being tied to an Islamic terrorist group.

It is very powerful, it is not very useful. It is gas-operated, which is weird for a pistol, exceedingly heavy and firing a stupidly large cartridge.

It's a range queen gun. There's a reason it shows up all the time in videogames and hip-hop culture. It's not because it's good.
9mm cartridges have probably killed more people in history than any other centrefire cartridge and aren't "ineffective" or whatever other bullshit led you to (allegedly) look into a Desert Eagle.

As they so often say, terrorism is about goals and motivation. Violently pressing an agenda.

It is not "doing a heck of a scare".
Maybe if motive can be gleaned from this we can revisit this point, but what agenda is really being pressed here? "Down with country music?"
Who is meant to be frightened or bullied into action, for what, here?

I know. My point is that the president and the media refuse to acknowledge that. When the Boston Marathon bombing or the Orlando shooting happened everyone was using the word "terrorist" right away. But so far I've only heard "lone shooter" and "seemingly no connections to terrorism" with this guy.

Well with the Boston Bombing, it was because it was, well, a bomb. Coordinated multiple bombs, at that.
And it was then sadly reinforced by racial stereotyping of first a Saudi person unconnected to the attack and then again when it transpired the actual attackers were furrin Islamics.

Sure, it was actually terrorism, attacking the American state/"the west" by proxy through a high-profile high-casualty attack on Americans/"westerners".
The issue isn't whether the Boston Bombing was considered "terrorism" from the outset, but that it was clearly dogwhistling as Islamic terrorism. And sadly it was.

But this was a mass shooting by a white guy, so it's never terrorism (unless you shoot at Conservative Representatives apparently, but ok).
