It's an Orthodox thing. You're supposed to think of yourself as the worst of all sinners so that you won't judge others harshly for their sin, which you want to avoid because God will judge us in accordance with how we judge others.

In some aspects. You probably can't be an absolute monarchist without being a reactionary.

I believe more in constitutional monarchy. But I still believe in freedom of choice in regards to people's personal lives, just that a hereditary head of state ultimately serves as a balancing and moderating factor, and a symbol of unity, and is free of political parties or money, and trained to rule. There would be no Trump or Clinton in a monarchy, instead you have highly respectable people like Elizabeth II. I'm not trying to undo years of progress. I just feel like somewhere along the line we screwed something up, and put moneyed interests where they do not belong.
