I'm also fairly certain that the source (Gun Violence Archive) for that "research" has once already in the past been outed for using people getting "shot" with paintball/airsoft incidents in the data as well to inflate the results. Could be someone else though, as it's so damned hard to keep track of these things as the anti's tend to bounce the same sources off each other over and over, making it hard to keep track at times.

I don't think it's that one. I pulled their 2017 data, sorted by injured, then started looking at the ones with zero fatalities.

None have been anything but regular guns.

Because it pisses me off a little bit.
Because assault rifles do exist. It's a rifle that fires an intermediate round that can switch between different fire modes.

However, it still pisses me off because it's like they don't know that actual assault rifles exist.

Maybe because the important bit of gun homicide is homicide and not gun? We are also one of the few developed nations with a for profit insurance system in place for healthcare and have some of the highest income inequality. Fix those and you make inroads into homicide.
