Then along comes the next shooting, and lo and behold here come the opportunists, climbing up the bodies looking to swipe yet another slice of your liberty.

Not if the person teaching them how to shoot has any idea what they're doing. Kids are not utterly retarded, they can be taught that some things are dangerous regardless of color. And kids aren't the only people who use pink guns, again, young women sometimes like to buy them to keep for self defense in their glove box or whatever. This is absurd.
