Well then there's no real point in engaging with you is there?

Formulate your own opinions based on research and evidence, don’t just parrot the ones your friend gives you.

I don’t parrot because I have no ideas of my own. I think through and seem to find much of value in Vysovnik ideas.

Has your friend suffered a major concussion by any chance?
What would things have been like if every security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive? Or if during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand? The Organs would quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

Just like Bolshevik (большевик) wasn't really a word until Lenin's faction of the RSDLP adopted a noun form of bol'shinstvo (большинство) meaning 'majority' or greater part. Vysovnik is simply the noun form of 'vysokiy' (высокий) meaning 'great, high, elevated.' The Vysovniks that I know are a 'society' of university students disaffected with the current National Bolshevik movement, especially with the ideological syncretism of the Limonov faction, hence their rejection of the left-right paradigm.

Many political words, like bol'shevik, are 'made up.' Moreover, the need arose for a political shorthand to describe the principles of vertical collectivism, which is too long a phrase for expedited discourse and eventual promotion. Moreover, this society has its ideology, its inspirations, and other attributes of a coherent political movement. Many political movements in history started in the student societies. Look at the German states between 1815-1870. Secret student societies were the bane of the local and imperial authorities.

Maybe that's the problem. America and other countries try the same things related to firearm control and yet shootings continue. Sometimes, a break from the current paradigm is required to truly create lasting change.

Here is a quick, non-rhetorical, question, and you can answer this however you want.. Do you know what a gun is?

First, there are many types of guns (handguns-revolvers, semi-automatic handguns), carbines (shortened rifles), semi-automatic rifles, etc.). I could go on and on. I will point out that 'gun' is not really a good word, since 'gun', in the traditional sense referred to artillery pieces, not personal weapons.

Gun has been used in English to describe handheld firearms ever since there have been hand held firearms avalible to the English (the gonne or hand cannon specifically). So gun is as accurate term as any other.

I define a 'gun’ (although I hate using that inaccurate term) as any device that propels a projectile through a tube using accelerating gas (air, CO2, smoke from gunpowder, etc.), resulting in near-supersonic or higher speeds (245 metres per second).
A firearm, specifically, is any of the above defined weapons that exploits the combustion of a solid (or liquid) chemical to achieve the accelerated gas. Moreover, the process is contained in a single object, the round, which contains the bullet (aerodynamic projectile), the casing housing the powder that is attached to the bullet, and the primer (spark generator). Most bullets (centerfire) have a specifically (centrally) located primer that must be struck to ignite the powder.

Problem is, is that for the majority of the gun's history, there was no single un it in firing, and this is still true of most air guns, which fit under your definition of gun. For example, muskets and early rifles are in every sense of the word firearms, yet the bullet, powder, and ignition device where a;; separate components. Cartridge using firearms only came into wide use around the time of the American Civil war.

Anyway, enough technical talk. I hope that I have shown that I know what 'guns’ are (I have even regularly fired 5,5 mm rifles at one point in my life).

5.5mm? 5.56?
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.
