The alphabetical list is not important, you are right. This page is not important. You and I are not important.

Aaron Burr was very important! He was a vice president, which is not as important as a president, but more important than the shieks and prime ministers and grand poobahs of other countries.

Aaronburrland will be first on the unimportant list, forever.

Why not just Aamerica, I can't be doing with having such a long name as Aaronburrland.. the world would stop talking about it cos it's too long to type..

How about Aaronburrland?

Sir or madam, you are right. The minimalist solution, which foreigners would call cheating to get to the top of the list. What could be more Aamerican than that?

We all know that the USA's name should be changed to 00000000000 so that nothing can ever knock it off the top of the list. :P

Don't be ridiculous. It was the federal government getting itself involved in education that got us into this mess. If only we'd free the states of the shackles of federal tyranny by providing tax subsidized waivers for for-profit charter schools and also return to traditional biblical teaching in public schools, the U.S. would jump to the top of the alphabet!

In short, "fascist" is a modern word for "heretic," branding an individual worthy of excommunication from the body politic. The right uses otherwords ("reverse-racist," "feminazi," "unamerican," "communist") for similiar purposes, but these words have less elastic meanings. Fascism, however, is the gift that keeps on giving. - Jonah Goldberg, revisited.

You just need to drop the "United States" and become "America". Fewer words = Less alphabetical expenditures. You will be at the top in no time.

Just look at Albania, Afghanistan etc.

The OP raises an interesting point about clickbait headlines. Some tabloid news outlets portray 'negative' headlines waaaaaaaaaay out of proportion and sometimes I fall for it with negative consequences.

They're all very nice. Particularly Vanuatu, it's not bad to be in the list with those countries.

Someone is forgetting Vatican City.

Also any country ranked after America is not important

I've been told that Vatican City is a city-state and not a country

At first, I thought this was about litteracy...

Anyway to the topic at hand. You guys are way further below 182nd. Just ask Kosovo, and Palestine, and those who count England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland as seperate countries, and Northern Cyprus, and the Cook Islands, and Taiwan, and Hong Kong, and...

Obviously need to take over the world and change the alphabet.
Most of the time I have no idea what the hell I'm doing or talking about.

”Many forms of government have been tried and will be tried in this world of sin and woe.
No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all wise. Indeed, it has been said that democracy is
the worst form of government, except for all the others that have been tried from time to time." -
Winston Churchill, 1947.

"Rifles, muskets, long-bows and hand-grenades are inherently democratic weapons. A complex weapon makes the strong stronger, while a simple weapon – so long as there is no answer to it – gives claws to the weak.” - George Orwell

Well, the name of the country is America. Take that into account and we'd be closer to the top.
A nation founded in the early 1800s by Federalist immigrants from the United States. Has since developed an identity of its own and imperial ambitions. Now a neoliberal imperial power that justifies its aggression by putting it the name of tolerance and social justice.

You mean "Unitedstatesian".

Anyway, you could always amend your country's name to "Amiable Association of America" to gain some ranks.

edit: also, the United Kingdom and all the other faithful monarchies of the Commonwealth rank above the revolting colonists, and that's what really matters, alongside with Marmite.
