The Nazi government wasn't so great for Germany but like it or not, Germany has become weak since then. If West Germany is more or less the same German government of today (only with East Germany annexed), then yes- Nazi Germany was the last time the German people truly had a martial tradition still alive and well.

It doesn't have to embrace Nazism per say, but even a return to the values of Imperial Germany (World War I) would be way better than today. I find that the Iron Cross is worth celebrating.
