Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!

First impressions: Clegg looks chuffed, Cameron looks nervous and Brown looks confident.

Also, I like Brown's tie.

Interesting: first question is on immigration.

He's only had his opening statement, and Cameron already sounds slimy...

Interesting. Nick Clegg is so far the clearest speaker.

Might be bias, but Clegg sounds and looks a lot more relaxed than Cameron, and Brown...well...he just looks like a dour old man.

Interesting to hear their views on immigration, particularly Nick Clegg seems to have a strong opinion on this issue.

Because there's any point having a discussion on immigration at all given our situation apropos EU immigrants.

Cameron is proposing a cap on immigrants, and a border police force. I do think that a border force is over the top. All we need it tightened security, not yet more police.

Net migration was c. 50,000 per annum under Major, and peaked at over 200,000 per annum in either 2008 or 2007.

Personally I think non EU immigration is more problematic, but I'm more talking about the difficulties in enforcing such a thing.

Eaaaaegrgh at Cameron's "I was talking to a 40-year -old black man".

Here he goes about a border police force.

Getbrett wrote:Interesting. Nick Clegg is so far the clearest speaker.

Certainly. Confident, calm and connected to the audience.

Probably, but any border control is difficult.

I'm more hooba-joobying at why we would want to limit immigration to tens of thousands.

Seriously good points and speaking from Nick Clegg. Tonight will almost certainly win him a lot of votes.

I'd assume, before anything else, because the electorate don't want net migration to the scale Labour have permitted?

Also, brownie points to Dave for acknowledging that the domestic unemployed should fill such vacancies as they can first.
