EDIT: Success, well, a bit anyway. It half loaded and then died.

I got their manifesto:

Abolish Income tax – National revenue from Income tax will gradually be replaced with a flat land tax. This will create a market in land, as the few landowners of Britain rush to dispose of their tax liability. Local revenues will be raised by means tested income tax, including tax breaks for food and energy production.

Nationalise Water Supply – Water is a fundamental need for life, a nations government should have few duties beyond its safe supply. What is taxation for but to provide essentials for the people who pay them.

Energy For Every Home – there are 24 million residences in the UK. Fitting each one with modest wind and solar power systems will cost less than Trident. This will give every home its own light and power. If you need more you pay for it, grid electricity will be taxed.

Equal Partners With Business – Corporation tax will be set at 50%. Those who wish to profit from the people of this land are welcome…as partners. Individuals and small businesses will be exempt.

Land For Peasants – Social land , like social housing, will be made available to those who wish to support themselves by their own means. To be part of our nation will mean the right to part of that nation. In a Landocracy all the people share rights and responsibilities to the land of their nation, not just a few.

A New Oath – The oath to god and the queen will be replaced. All public servants will take an oath to “Serve the people honestly and conserve the land of our nation”

None Of The Above – We will add None of the above to the ballot in all UK elections. If your views are not represented your vote will still count.

Vote Landless Peasant

It's not perfectly in line with my ancom views, but it's pretty damn good for a political party. I'd vote for it.

Like I said, I'm a Tory/BNP (Almost) and this thing is pretty damn good.

I nearly went for LibDem, but then I toed the party line and went for Labour, just like I'd been brought up to do.

Lembit Opik's been knocked out by the Tories.

But are they gaining enough seats?

They're not doing that much better. The swing to the Tories in some areas has been appallingly high, other oddly low. When the Tories first started getting seats you could almost hear my family emigrate...

100 SEATS DECLARED!

So far majority Labour, terribly poor Lib Dem showing, variations but the Tory swing is about as expected.

I really do fear a hung parliament. It would mean both sides likely veto'ing each others ideas... then nothing will get done.

Conservatives have defeated Lembit Opik in Montgomeryshire.

That's a big, big Lib Dem loss as they've held the seat almost continuously since the 19th century, even when the old Liberal Party was at its 5 seat nadir, except for a brief period under Thatcher.

Perhaps the locals were just tired of Opik's extremely colourful profile.

I wasn't - he was clearly really struggling with the Welsh, stumbling over the language on multiple occasions. And that in seat with a large Welsh-speaking population in the west.
