I used to be what I call Batholic.

Back in Stuttgart, AR, I went to a Catholic school. Not because my parents were religious or anything, just because that was the best school in the town.
And every weekend, I would go to my grandmother's in Pine Bluff. She is a Baptist, and much more religious than me or my parents. Well, since I was with her almost every weekend, she took me to her Baptist church every Sunday.
This is why I said Batholic.

I said to my dad: "Daddy, I go to a Catholic school during the week, and I go to a Baptist church during the weekend. So what am I?" His reply: "Son, you're Batholic. You don't know whether you should drink, or get mad about it."

That was 8 years of my life.

When I was 10, we moved to Northwest Arkansas. The schools there are much better so the public school was much better than the Catholic school.
Now, I was still quite religious at this point. Not super religious, but still.
Anyways, me and my parents started going to the United Methodist church. So I was a United Methodist for 7 years, and I think of myself as somewhat of one still, but not much.

Over the years, I've gotten much less religious.

Now, I'd definitely classify myself as a deist.

Of course, I plan on becoming an ordained priest in the Church of the Latter-Day Dude.

You can be Taoist or Buddhist and atheist at the same time, but those are separate poll options. Tao and Buddhas are not gods.

Dainichi, Amida, and other Buddhas fulfill all the paradigms of gods, and Buddhist texts are filled with accounts of deities such as Brahma, Indra, and others. Being an "atheist Buddhist" is impossible.

It's complicated.

When I'm out and about, talking to the average Joe, I call myself Christian. It's easy shorthand—I celebrate Christmas and Easter, and when I have a family I plan on building a social circle starting from a nice, liberal Presbyterian or Episcopal church.

I was raised staunchly fundamentalist Southern Baptist. I went through a phase when I first came to the realization that religion is, in short, manufactured meaning, where I was very angry at people for continuing to believe in something so transparently nonsensical.

Now I've moved on from that, and I realize that most people are not crazies like my aunt and uncle. Or even sort of crazy like my parents. Most religious folks really don't give a shit either way. Hell, lots of them don't even believe any of the magic crap. So while I still believe that fundamentalist religion is degenerate (because it is…) I don't get so damn worked up about it anymore.

Honestly, what has surprised me the most is that neither Buddhism nor Hinduism received any votes. Since Sikhism is a rather small movement, I did not expect many votes.

I'm a Twelver Muslim, but opposed to Khomeini's Velayat e Faqih and theocracy.

I flirted with Roman Catholicism for a while as I did go to a catholic school, but eventually realised that I only liked its ceremonial aspect, but not so much its theology.

Would that be the qarmatians? They were an interesting Shia subgroup obsessed with the batin (esoteric) dimension of Islam. Too obsessed that they even went as far as vandalising the Kaaba and polluting the zamzam spring with dead bodies, since they saw outwards worship as sacrilegious...

I was raised in a Roman Catholic household, then in school I started learning religion (my parents forced me to, little did they know that it was the easiest class there was and that it's the reason why I became agnostic) in it we studied Catholicism, Christianity, Judaism, Islam, etc, etc, and I also read some excerpts of the various religious books. I ended up just thinking "this is all the same so how can only one of them be true?" so... yeah.... I have no religion but I still believe there's something else out there. We'll see when we die I suppose.

Myself, I am atheist-agnostic (at least barring the possibility that the universe/multiverse is a simulation, then the simulation's creators are God) due to the amount of paradoxes in traditional theism and the fact that no scientific evidence has suggested that a deity exists. However, I do tolerate religion and am an advocate of religious freedom.

I am an Anabaptist. Our numbers include primarily Mennonite, Amish, and Grace Brethren believers. I would also include the Bruderhof.

We believe in peacemaking, honesty, hard work, local autonomy, freedom of conscience, and believer's baptism.

We have more emphasis upon work-righteousness than the Protestants do, but less emphasis upon priests and sacraments than do the Catholics

What specifically are you interested in? There are a lot of great English-language resources that have come out in the last few decades on Orthodoxy, and I'd be happy to make recommendations, or show you where you might be able to find a parish to meet with a priest about your interest.

I'm Jewish. I don't really, honestly, consider myself part of a single denomination. I currently attend a conservative synagogue (when I attend), but that's more for the atmosphere of the services and the specific community there than for theological reasons.

I am a secular humanist, who takes the agnostic atheist view on deities. I would say that I am spiritual, not in a religious or new age kind of way, but in a "be kind to others/inner well being" sort of way.

I was raised within the Church of Christ, became a Wiccan, then a deist for a long while, then I became what I am now.
