But more to the point ...they did indeed use planes full of civilians and in that they were wrong. It would have been much better had they stole and empty one.

That's bullshit and the people responsible for it should be punished, yet nowhere in it do they claim it was a military base.

if its bull then why does someone need to be punished?

Because that's what happens when someone commits murder?

It's bullshit in that that shouldn't have happened. However, the US military didn't order the bombing of the hospital. If we're going to blame the US on military attacks on civilians in the middle eats why stop with them? British, hell, soldiers from pretty much all nations involved have committed violence against civilians.

The discussion seems to have wandered.

Guys, let's try not to wander off the purpose of this thread and resort to trolling and flaming others. I'd hate for a thread like this to get locked.
In any case the anniversary was great for remembering those who lost their lives that day, and to give support to the families who lost loved ones

no one was off topic...we were discussing who exactly should be at fault for 9/11....I cant defend the flaming though seeing as I didn't partake in it.

The thread was for remembering the tragedy, not assigning blame. Start a new thread if you want to do that.

There is already a censorship on NS, they don't like it when you critisise Islam

This is literally the argument that people from any religion use.

Well. Do you beat your wife with a rod no thicker than your thumb when she has disobeyed you?

Have you stoned you children (or been stoned to death, with actual rocks) by your parents for being disobedient?

Have you sold your daughter into slavery?

Do you in fact wear any clothing that is a blend of fibers?

Eat shellfish? Or pork?

How about instead of bitching about your president, you maybe react to someones story and remember those lost on 9/11? That is what this thread is for is it not? You're being childish and insensitive.

I've grown up hearing the stories of "this is where I was on 9/11" and "I knew a first responder" or "I was working in the city at the time". Why not we focus on remembrance and not criticism. The only criticism that should be thrown around is to those responsible

Perhaps you could have just not commented on something that was said twenty pages ago, from which the conversation has moved on? No?

Because this is NSG where you'd be hard-pressed to find threads that don't devolve into an anti-Trump circle-jerk.

Before Trump you would have been hard-pressed to find threads that weren't pro-Obama circle-jerks.

Or it could be that anything you disagree with is "a circle-jerk"?

The thread topic is 9/11. Why do we need to fixate on America's 9/11 when there have been far worse? Darmstadt 1944?

Because this is about the American 9/11 and remembering it. Start your own thread if you want to talk about them.

What NSG are you talking about? :lol2:

If you want freedom of speech, go to 4chan, then you can say whatever you like. Nationstates forums never claims to allow free speech, so there is no reason for you to be under that illusion.

As always, a 9/11 thread on Nationstates has turned toxic. It would be nice if it didn't happen, even just for one year. But I suppose that is asking for too much.

Just one tower. They call it 1WTC(One World Trade Center), or Freedom Tower, and it's much much much taller than before. Right now it's the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. And the 6th tallest in the world.

I believe the original building was the tallest building in the world when it was built. The new one at least sets a standard for the hemisphere.

Of course because people don't know how to act right without calling each other "Islamic haters, terrorist supporters, rascist" and all that other nonsense
