Not gonna pull at that thread and start High Church hostilities.

I don't see it as hostile in all honesty. Granted I'm not perfectly versed in Orthodox vs Catholic Dogma (working on it, but the literature is extensive). As I currently sit I see the Catholic Church has been willing to Codify Dogma while the Orthodox isn't, but that doesn't make their dogmas conflicted.

Problem is they're tilting st the wrong windmill. Protestants are the science deniars these days, not Catholics.

Well, the geocentrist leadership are mostly Catholic, but their followers are all protestants.

Well, they'd have to agree with him about JFK as well as geocentrism and the holocaust... But on the other hand, I suspect those are linked, and we don't want him anymore either.

I used to support something which could be considered Clerical Fascism (the Church having representatives in a corporate chamber).

No, that would be the pope who blew the Vatican treasury on a party to watch a bunch of naked women crawling around on the floor scrabbling after chestnuts. Or possibly the one who tried his predecessor's corpse.

I've been meaning to read up on it, and see if it can be applied in a Protestant context; if so, I might end up as one.
